Board

The Board is formed by the Chairman and the Representatives of each region: North and Central America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Members of the Board gather four times a year to approve and review policies and directives to improve the management of tourism certtification in each region. Representatives coordinate permanently the institutional performance. Too, ad hoc members of the Board are formed by representatives of international NGO's, Universities and Companies that do not provide tourism services. The Board is the highest authority of Tourism Certification International and it is represented by the Chairman. The Chairman is elected every two years.

Our Chairman (2006-2007): Nils Viking, Architect, M.Sc. in Urban Planning (Oxford Brookes University, England) and Ph.D. in Planning (Royal University of Technology, Sweden). He has around 30 years of wide experience promoting sustainability, especially in Africa, Europe and Eastern Europe. He has a special experience promoting sustainability in tourism.
