Advocacy is a strategy to influence in policies. This includes not only the creation or reform of policies, but in some cases their fulfillment or implementation. A policy is a plan, a course of action, a set of regulations, a program or an institution. Advocacy is a tool to strengthen tourism sustainability, it is a process to influence in those that make decisions.

Tourism Certification International is fully commited in promoting strategies that could help promote policies and implement measures at the international, country and local level to facilitate tourism sustainability. Partners and country representatives, with Tourism Certification International, will develop pilot projects and campaigns, to validate experiences and to sensitize different actors and make tourism more sustainable every time.

In fact, different partnerships may be formed with different strategies in each case. From communication to the defense of tourism sustainability, Tourism Certification International will be a global force commited to make tourism socially fair, ecologically responsible, politically transparent and economically efficient.
